Welcome to Torch Lake Cabins!

We are a very small, unique, friendly retreat type place.

Here you will have your own private cozy cabin surrounded by lovely perennial gardens, the peace and tranquility of nature, steps away from one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. We are in an excellent "base place" location to explore all the nearby quaint towns and villages, Traverse City, and all that "up north"  Michigan has to offer in summer. Most everything, even the Mackinaw Bridge is within an hour's drive from here.

These two cozy cabins are fully equipped efficiency units with all of the comforts of home. All are furnished "rustic woodsy, natural, eclectic homestyle".

They are  ideal for couples or single-solo travelers.

Come for the perfect mix of privacy, beautiful peaceful surroundings – yet just a stones throw from all the beach and water activities, hiking, wineries, antique shopping, golfing, and all the rest the area has to offer.

These retreat cabins are the perfect place to rest and relax. See and do as much or as little as you like. There are many activities and special events throughout the summer, or just kick back on one of the beaches nearby or hang out on the hammock with a book.

Both cabins are embraced by a wide mix of mature older trees, and gardens. There are wildflowers, extensive perennial gardens, and an organic vegetable garden also on site that attract many songbirds and hummingbirds filling your senses with the sights and sounds of nature.

Note:

The cabins are located directly ACROSS THE STREET from the lake.

Proprietor's house is also on the same property.

Sorry, not wheelchair accessible.

Smoking is allowed in outside designated areas only. No smoking inside cabins. Sorry, no pets.

Torch Lake was ranked as “the third most beautiful lake in the world” by National Geographic.

Within thirty minutes to an hour from common destinations of Traverse City, Charlevoix, Gaylord and Petoskey, it is Michigan’s longest inland lake at 18 miles long, and covers an area of 29 square miles! One of the things that makes this lake so unusual is its’ amazingly beautiful color. It is a mixture of light green, blue and turquoise -- very similar to colors seen in the Caribbean.
